Fabric is Paint
June 19, 2019
This class is an entry level class. You will discover how using fabric as paint can become a beautiful painting. The process is quite a simple one, however, learning to look at fabric for another use than it’s intended use is a challenge. Pam guides you through the process of examining textures, colors of fabric, and how they are transformed into mountains, water, trees and more. In this class, you will work on an 11 x 14 canvas. As you learn the process, you will be excited and encouraged to see how it all happens. No art experience is needed. You will learn from demonstrations and individual advice and encouragement. The only tool you will need is a pair of fabric scissors. Pam encourages students to bring some of their own favorite fabric and/or favorite clothing that can’t be used anymore – perhaps a favorite piece of child’s clothing.
All supplies provided except scissors.
